Goals e-Green Alliance Logo

Reduce · Reuse · Recycle

Our goal is to promote environmental stewardship through educational outreach and positive public awareness. It is imperative for companies to make wise business decisions that will have a positive impact on our environment. Good environmental stewardship will benefit everyone by conserving energy and reducing or eliminating environmental waste.

What Can You Do?

Reduce solid waste disposal

Reduce, reuse, and then recycle! Paper, cardboard, aluminum cans and plastic bottles can be recycled. Have a lot of paper that has only been used on one side? Flip it over or cut it into small pieces and use it as scratch paper. Shred unusable paper and use it as packing material. Reuse cardboard boxes for shipping.

Lower energy and water consumption

Turn off lights when not in use. Do you really need that 100 watt bulb? Try switching to low energy light bulbs. Leave your computer on 24/7? You could save hundreds of dollars a year by turning it off or setting it on automatic sleep mode when it's not in use. Install water-saver toilets to conserve water usage.

Improve management of hazardous materials and wastes

Dispose of unwanted and obsolete electronics properly! Electronic components are host to many toxic elements. CRT monitors have between 4 and 7 pounds of lead in them alone! Correctly disposing of these electronics prevents those elements from leaching into the air, soil and water which causes the pollution in the environment.

Do your part to educate the community

Share with clients, employees and partners the importance of environmental stewardship. Make an example of yourself for others to follow! Tell them about the e-Green Alliance and display your e-Green Alliance Seal on your website and at your office.

Carry your stewardship home

Make recycling fun for your family members. Discuss with your children the hazards of an earth filled with electronic waste. Use the internet to educate your children on the dangers of third world landfills. Help your children understand the importance of realizing that what they do today affects the world they live in tomorrow.
