Steve Chafitz
President
Steve has
been involved with electronics and
communications all of his life.
He has over 10 years of experience
in the recycling of ferrous and
non ferrous material.
The combination of Steve’s electronics
experience, his work associated
with recycling plus his well respected
business principles that has enabled
him to create e-EndUSA
in a manner which will emulate his
formula of success.
Steve’s guiding business principals
have always been based on superb
service and developing a team with
purpose and a “passion for doing
it right”. His goal has always been
to provide honest and exceptional
services which exceed the client’s
expectations.
Steve is recognized as one of the
most significant leaders of the
consumer electronic revolution,
which occurred in the early 1970’s.
He and his wife, Arleen, established
a company in Rockville Maryland
which became one of the nation’s
leading retailers and electronics
fulfillment organizations for consumer
electronics. Their company was one
of the first to introduce numerous
new products that, at the time,
used an innovative new technology:
integrated circuits.
Common today, but cutting edge when
the Chafitz's introduced them, were
products such as electronic calculators,
(desktop and pocket calculators),
digital watches, the “walkman”,
handheld TV’s, video games, consumer
video recording equipment, telephone
answering machines, pocket recorders
and numerous other items which are
now used daily. Steve and Arleen
Chafitz have also been credited
with pioneering electronic games
such as electronic chess and Backgammon.
They were among the first to introduce
and sell computers being designed
for “personal use”.
Coming full circle, from introducing
revolutionary electronic products,
Steve recognized the importance
of good stewardship in managing
and recycling the “end of life”
stages of these same products.
Steve has always been close with
nature and concerned with the environment.
As President, Steve sets the overall
mission and direction of e-EndUSA.
Steve is certified
by the International Electronics
Recyclers Institute (IERI), an educational
