e-End recently welcomed members of the DC Environmental Network to visit our Frederick, MD facility for an in-person overview of our electronics recycling and data destruction operation. The DC Environmental Network, founded in 1996, is working toward a vision of rebuilding Washington, DC's neighborhoods and communities for long-term economic stability by protecting and restoring the Capital City's urban environment.
Through this tour, members of the group saw how creating various programs for recycling end-of-life electronics can help in their endeavors.
Steve Chafitz, President of e-End, also provided attendees with a reinforcement of data security by citing the vast amounts of information on the computers being disposed of by governments and non-profits.
