A Responsible way to Dump your Electronic Junk!


The Cumberland County Recycling Event successful brought relief to many residents plagued with useless electronics and old unwanted tires.

Despite the uncomfortably damp and humid weather, e-End joined the Cumberland County Vector Control on Saturday, May 4th at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The collective effort in an on-going mission to assist their ‘Keep PA Beautiful’ initiative and also promote the importance of recycling old electronics.

e-End’s presence provided many county residents a safe and convenient way to finally dispose of their old, unwanted electronic devices. This solution being a more environmentally positive alternative to the illegal dumping of these items.

“We are so glad you are here.” stated one contributor. “I am so glad to finally be able to get rid of these things.”

The atmosphere was generally positive regardless of the long lines from the overwhelming response. Several people were excited to have their old electronics disposed of.

In addition to the electronics collections, volunteers from Vector Control were on-hand to receive unwanted tires from pre-registered residents. And also offered further information about the available recycling efforts for the county.

Overall, the event which lasted from early 9 am to noon, proceed without incident and resulted in a successful allotment of tires and electronics for recycle.

Please remember, by properly recycling old electronics, you are not only helping the environment, but reducing the risk of dangerous and toxic materials being released into the ground. Recycling your electronics also reduces the demand of natural resources as they can be reused for the manufacturing of other products.
