Do you have unwanted equipment that you would like to get rid of? It’s important to know your options. While some products are simply beyond repair and should be appropriately removed and recycled, others may be eligible for ITAD e-waste and remarketing services. Some equipment can actually be restored and reused. From the client perspective, this not only means that you can be rid of unwanted equipment, but you may make some money, too!
The Importance Of ITAD e-Waste Recycling
e-Waste contains a variety of materials and toxins that are harmful to our planet. It is important to properly recycle e-waste to avoid unnecessarily filling our landfill with hazardous materials and reducing your carbon footprint.
Consequences Of Improperly Disposing e-Waste
Improperly disposing of e-waste could lead to a host of issues. Not only can it pose a threat to our environment, but it could lead to the illegal exporting of the equipment.
What Is ITAD Remarketing?
ITAD remarketing is a valuable solution. Not only does it provide the equipment to be repaired and refurbished for further use, but you may also receive a percentage of the equipment’s fair market value. e-End is NAID AAA Certified and R2 Certified which means that we have the proper certification to handle the equipment from start to finish and follow the guidelines in accordance with NIST 800-88 R1 or NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12 for data sanitization.
Equipment Remarketing Considerations
When it comes to remarketing equipment, there are a few considerations to keep in mind in order to ensure that the material can be reused.
Age
Typically, with this process, we like to see products that are less than five years old. Usually, equipment outside of this window no longer has the working capacity to be refurbished.
Functionality
Because the equipment is continually changing, the functionality of it certainly matters. If the product is too far gone, or simply not used in mainstream industries any longer, it is likely not a good fit for remarketing.
Appearance
Overall appearance matters because it will determine if the product can be resold. Most buyers will not trust the functionality of the equipment if it is in poor physical condition.
Overall Condition
The equipment must meet e-End’s overall high standard in order to be considered for remarketing services. Ability to repair, age, and appearance are all graded in this final consideration.
